The GRAD Partnership’s Rural Outreach: More than Meets the Eye

Rural youth collectively make up about 20 percent of public-school students in the United States; they must be included in any national effort to increase graduation rates. In light of this, the Rural Schools Collaborative (RSC) is working with The GRAD Partnership, a national movement partnering with communities to use high-quality student success systems so that schools are empowered to graduate all students ready for the future. As part of this work, RSC is developing regional intermediaries that establish and support cohorts of underserved rural schools in their work to implement student success systems....

GRAD Partnership Names Southeast Lauderdale High School a Spotlight School

The GRAD Partnership is pleased to announce its second spotlight school, Southeast Lauderdale High School, in Meridian, Mississippi. Southeast Lauderdale was chosen for its efforts to improve attendance and bolster graduation rates by fostering positive relationships between students and school staff and encouraging students to participate in extracurricular activities.

To Maintain High Expectations for our Students Amid a Crisis, Keep Their Needs at the Forefront

As schools continue to grapple with the devastating effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the wellbeing of students and educators alike, keeping students on track to graduate prepared for future success can feel nearly impossible. I experience that feeling here in Riverside County, as I know many of my colleagues across the country do. How can we possibly maintain high academic expectations for students while experiencing collective trauma? We can start by embracing student success systems that enable us to listen to and learn from one another.
